a few minutes ago i talked to a guy who had his car towed by the city at his expense because he was stopped with a suspended license. this made me think of the night in memphis when i was similarly stopped on a suspended license and had to spend the night in jail.
my car wasn't towed, but i was.

They very nearly arrested him, but instead just impounded his car and held him in custody, eventually letting him call me to come pick him up. he was joking too much with the officers, had to pass a drunk test, and was also questionably in this country (he was from Curacao). I was in town and staying with him when it happened (we werent roommates yet).
